Roofing help wanted: Omkar's home in Amritsar
Omkar, a retired bus driver, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in Amritsar.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Amritsar. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $560, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Wishing you peace. This could happen to any of us. After 9 years in farming I know how hard it is to ask for anything. God bless.
Wishing you the best, Omkar. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps
