Roofing help wanted: Noriko's home in Tokyo
Could you spare two Saturdays to help repair a leaking roof in Tokyo?
🇯🇵 Tokyo, Japan290 views
I'm a night-shift nurse living in Tokyo. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,450, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Good luck, Noriko. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Manchester
