Roofing help wanted: Mbali's home in Pretoria
Mbali, a single mother of three, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Pretoria.

I'm a single mother of three living in Pretoria. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $890, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you for reading my story.

keep going, Mbali. Hope this works out for you. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
it takes guts to ask. Well done. I hope October is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Parramatta.

Rooting for you, Mbali. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care.
Thanks for sharing this, Mbali. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
