Roofing help wanted: Mauricio's home in Rochester
Could you spare one long weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Rochester?
🇺🇸 New York, United States236 views
I'm a night-shift nurse living in Rochester. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,850, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Wishing you the best, Mauricio. I hope things turn around soon. I hope February is when things finally get easier.
sending love. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings.
Hope things get better soon. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Greetings from Pune
