Roofing help wanted: Laura's home in St. Petersburg
The roof at Laura's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a school janitor living in St. Petersburg. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,950, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thinking of you and your family, Laura. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
I hope things turn around soon. After 19 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Seongnam
wishing you peace. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Love from Uberlândia
Hope it all works out, Laura. Shared this with my family.
