Roofing help wanted: Kevin's home in Kikuyu
Could you spare one long weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Kikuyu?
🇰🇪 Kiambu, Kenya1,049 views
I'm a school janitor living in Kikuyu. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $790, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you for reading my story.

Wishing you peace, Kevin. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
