Roofing help wanted: Karan's home in Liverpool
The roof at Karan's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a night-shift nurse living in Liverpool. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,200, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

wishing you the best, Karan. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in Karachi but we're thinking of you. Blessings.
wishing you peace, Karan. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
Thanks for sharing this, Karan. This could happen to any of us. After 14 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
