Roofing help wanted: Joseph's home in Mbale
The roof at Joseph's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a single mother of three living in Mbale. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $390, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Good luck. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best
Sending good thoughts, Joseph. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier
Take care, Joseph. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Mbale.
your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Orlando so I could bring a meal. All the best!
sending strength, Joseph. I hope things turn around soon. God bless.
