Roofing help wanted: Jerome's home in Quezon City
Jerome, a retired bus driver, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Quezon City.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Quezon City. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $430, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Rooting for you. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Fresno.
Hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I hope August is when things finally get easier.
I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Thinking of Quezon City.
