Roofing help wanted: Isaiah's home in Warren
Isaiah, a disabled veteran, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in Warren.

I'm a disabled veteran living in Warren. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $5,750, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Thinking of you and your family, Isaiah. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My husband and I read this together.
Hang in there, Isaiah. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Hamilton so I could bring a meal.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Vancouver so I could bring a meal.
thinking of you, Isaiah. Shared this with my family. Wish I lived closer to São Paulo so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Warren!
