Roofing help wanted: Howard's home in London
Could you spare two Saturdays to help repair a leaking roof in London?
🇬🇧 London, England, United Kingdom1,138 views
I'm a disabled veteran living in London. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $4,200, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you for reading my story.

thinking of you, Howard. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
Hope things get better soon, Howard. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
