Roofing help wanted: Hailey's home in Southampton
Could you spare three weekday mornings to help repair a leaking roof in Southampton?
🇬🇧 England, United Kingdom1,540 views
I'm a school janitor living in Southampton. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,600, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Sending strength, Hailey. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best.
