Roofing help wanted: Fiifi's home in Tema
The roof at Fiifi's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Tema. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $550, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Rooting for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Love from Lagos
Hang in there, Fiifi. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Rohini this morning. Take care
Sending strength, Fiifi. I hope things turn around soon. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Rohini
Praying for you, Fiifi. Your post was clear and honest.
Thanks for sharing this, Fiifi. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
