Roofing help wanted: Fen's home in San Diego
Fen, a night-shift nurse, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in San Diego.

I'm a night-shift nurse living in San Diego. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,400, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Thinking of you, Fen. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
