Roofing help wanted: Eugene's home in Lexington
Eugene, a school janitor, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Lexington.

I'm a school janitor living in Lexington. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $4,800, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Hope it all works out, Eugene. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Take care.

Thinking of you and your family. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
Hang in there, Eugene. Looking forward to the next update. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. God bless!
