Roofing help wanted: Daniel's home in Ottawa
Could you spare three weekday mornings to help repair a leaking roof in Ottawa?
🇨🇦 Ottawa, Ontario, Canada297 views
I'm a night-shift nurse living in Ottawa. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,950, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you for reading my story.

Praying for you, Daniel. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We're a small family in Bilbao but we're thinking of you.
a secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Santos.
