Roofing help wanted: Brenda's home in Sheffield
Could you spare a weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Sheffield?
🇬🇧 England, United Kingdom1,376 views
I'm a single mother of three living in Sheffield. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,400, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Wishing you the best, Brenda. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. God bless.
Hang in there, Brenda. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Take care.
