Roofing help wanted: Binita's home in Kathmandu
The roof at Binita's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a night-shift nurse living in Kathmandu. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $320, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

thinking of you, Binita. Hope you get there. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings.
Take care, Binita. Your post was clear and honest. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
