Roofing help wanted: Bea's home in Makati
The roof at Bea's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.
🇵🇭 Metro Manila, Philippines848 views
I'm a retired bus driver living in Makati. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $370, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Glad we found this place.

Wishing you the best. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless.

Hang in there. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double!
