Roofing help wanted: Balaji's home in Jaipur
Could you spare one long weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Jaipur?
🇮🇳 Rajasthan, India450 views
I'm a school janitor living in Jaipur. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $850, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

- one long weekend

Sending love. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. God bless
Best of luck, Balaji. Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Johannesburg this morning. Love from Johannesburg
