Roofing help wanted: Aurora's home in Corpus Christi
The roof at Aurora's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.
🇺🇸 Corpus Christi, Texas, United States785 views
I'm a widowed grandmother living in Corpus Christi. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,200, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you for reading my story.

Hope it all works out, Aurora. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless

Rooting for you, Aurora. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. After 15 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
