Roofing help wanted: Andrea's home in Madrid
Andrea, a retired bus driver, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Madrid.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Madrid. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $4,150, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Take care, Andrea. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
Thinking of you and your family, Andrea. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together
