Roofer needed urgently: Lucy's home isn't safe
Lucy has dangerous exposed wiring in two rooms, and can't afford a licensed roofer to fix it; a few hours of professional help would make the home safe.

In October an inspector told me that my home has dangerous exposed wiring in two rooms. It's a safety risk for me and my elderly mother. The landlord has refused to act, and quotes of $1,850 are beyond us.
I'm looking for a licensed roofer who may be able to donate a few hours or do the repair at cost. I can cover the parts, which I estimate at $270.
The job should take about eight hours. I'll make sure someone is home and will provide refreshments. I can share the inspector's written report on request.
If you're a roofer and can help, or know a program that assists with this sort of repair, I'd really appreciate it.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

good luck, Lucy. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Orlando
Praying for you. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. We're a small family in Tacoma but we're thinking of you
this could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Christchurch

I hope things turn around soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Leeds!
