Rides to dialysis three times a week for Winda in Jakarta
Winda needs dialysis three times a week and has lost the ability to drive; volunteer drivers can each take one day.
🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia425 views
Winda has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Jakarta Kidney Centre alone. After surgery on their hand, Winda can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 29 km each way.
Winda is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.

thanks for sharing this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope November is when things finally get easier. God bless
Thinking of you and your family. Wishing Winda a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless.
Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Calamba this morning. Love from Calamba
Sending love. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Wishing you the best. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I hope November is when things finally get easier.
