Rides to dialysis three times a week for Toru in Tokyo
Could you drive Toru to Tokyo Regional Medical Center on Sunday? A rota of 6 drivers is forming.
🇯🇵 Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan1,286 views
Toru has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to Tokyo Regional Medical Center alone. After a minor stroke, Toru can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 32 km each way.
Toru is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.

Stay strong. Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from Makati!
Hope things get better soon, Ren. Hope the doctors have good news. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
