Rides to dialysis three times a week for Tanvi in Oakland
Could you drive Tanvi to Oakland General Hospital on Tuesday? A rota of 4 drivers is forming.

Tanvi has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to Oakland General Hospital alone. After an eyesight problem, Tanvi can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 23 km each way.
Tanvi is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.

Hope it all works out, Swati. It takes guts to ask. Well done. All the best.
Hang in there. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Oakland.
Hope things get better soon, Swati. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Oakland.
