Rides to dialysis three times a week for Stella in Vancouver
A rota of drivers to Vancouver Regional Medical Center would keep Stella on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇺🇸 Vancouver, Washington, United States121 views
Stella has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to Vancouver Regional Medical Center alone. After an eyesight problem, Stella can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 14 km each way.
Stella is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
