Rides to dialysis three times a week for Robbert in Utrecht

A rota of drivers to Utrecht Regional Medical Center would keep Robbert on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Robbert has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to Utrecht Regional Medical Center alone. After surgery on their hand, Robbert can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 28 km each way. Robbert is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Utrecht
