Could you drive Muhammad to the Denpasar Dialysis Unit on Thursday? A rota of 5 drivers is forming.

Muhammad has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Denpasar Dialysis Unit alone. After a minor stroke, Muhammad can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 28 km each way. Muhammad is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

        • Hope things get better soon, Dian. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Detroit this morning. Love from Detroit

          • Wishing Muhammad a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
