Rides to dialysis three times a week for Mia in Sheffield
Mia needs dialysis three times a week and has lost the ability to drive; volunteer drivers can each take one day.

Mia has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to Sheffield General Hospital alone. After surgery on their hand, Mia can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 24 km each way.
Mia is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.

Thanks for sharing this, Christian. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
