Rides to dialysis three times a week for Mauricio in Riverside

Could you drive Mauricio to Riverside Regional Medical Center on Friday? A rota of 3 drivers is forming.

Mauricio has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to Riverside Regional Medical Center alone. After a foot amputation, Mauricio can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 33 km each way. Mauricio is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Sending strength, Juan. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best
