Rides to dialysis three times a week for Manuel in Alicante
Could you drive Manuel to the Alicante Dialysis Unit on Wednesday? A rota of 3 drivers is forming.
🇪🇸 Alicante, Valencian Community, Spain300 views
Manuel has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Alicante Dialysis Unit alone. After a minor stroke, Manuel can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 13 km each way.
Manuel is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
I hope life is good to you.

Good luck, Susana. Get well soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too!
Wishing you the best. Shared it with a few friends. Love from Jakarta.
Good luck. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Alicante.
thinking of you and your family. I hope things turn around soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
