John has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to Hamilton Regional Medical Center alone. After surgery on their hand, John can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 12 km each way. John is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Thinking of you. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Sydney

    • Thinking of you, Oliver. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out.
