Could you drive Gianna to the Leicester Dialysis Unit on Sunday? A rota of 3 drivers is forming.

Gianna has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Leicester Dialysis Unit alone. After a foot amputation, Gianna can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 16 km each way. Gianna is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

      • hope things get better soon. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.
