Rides to dialysis three times a week for Gabriel in Móstoles

A rota of drivers to the Móstoles Dialysis Unit would keep Gabriel on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Gabriel has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Móstoles Dialysis Unit alone. After a foot amputation, Gabriel can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 34 km each way. Gabriel is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

    • stay strong, Dolores. Looking forward to the next update.

      • Praying for you, Dolores. Hope the doctors have good news. After 20 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
