Emma has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to Mannheim Regional Medical Center alone. After surgery on their hand, Emma can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 10 km each way. Emma is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Aberdeen.

    • Wishing you peace. I hope things turn around soon. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Mannheim
