Rides to dialysis three times a week for Cian in Cork

A rota of drivers to Cork Regional Medical Center would keep Cian on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Cian has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to Cork Regional Medical Center alone. After surgery on their hand, Cian can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 32 km each way. Cian is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Wishing you peace, Maureen. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Los Angeles donated after I showed her your page. Blessings.
