Rides to dialysis three times a week for Cherry in Manila
Could you drive Cherry to the Manila Dialysis Unit on Thursday? A rota of 3 drivers is forming.
🇵🇭 1007, Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines277 views
Cherry has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Manila Dialysis Unit alone. After a foot amputation, Cherry can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 8 km each way.
Cherry is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hope it all works out. Shared this with my family. I have a 10 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
Wishing you the best, Angelo. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
Rooting for you, Angelo. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too
