Rides to dialysis three times a week for Cem in Üsküdar

A rota of drivers to the Üsküdar Kidney Centre would keep Cem on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Cem has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Üsküdar Kidney Centre alone. After an eyesight problem, Cem can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 21 km each way. Cem is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
