Rides to dialysis three times a week for Aiden in Birmingham
A rota of drivers to Birmingham Regional Medical Center would keep Aiden on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Aiden has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to Birmingham Regional Medical Center alone. After surgery on their hand, Aiden can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 33 km each way.
Aiden is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Take care, Todd. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
I hope things turn around soon. Put this on a community board in Mandeville this morning. Thinking of Birmingham.
