Rides to dialysis three times a week for Agnès in Vancouver
A rota of drivers to the Vancouver Kidney Centre would keep Agnès on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇨🇦 Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada1,099 views
Agnès has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Vancouver Kidney Centre alone. After a foot amputation, Agnès can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 31 km each way.
Agnès is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Thank you so much.
