Respite care wanted: a few hours a week with Sibusiso in Johannesburg

Unpaid or low-cost help with Sibusiso for a few hours each week would keep our family afloat.

I'm Lungile, and I look after my brother at home in Johannesburg. Sibusiso has early memory loss and should not be alone for long stretches. I work part-time at the shop, and the gap on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons is the hardest part of my week. What I need is someone calm and reliable to be in the house from about 1pm until 6pm. Mostly that means company, a cup of tea, lunch and a short walk if the weather is kind. No lifting and no medical care. Sibusiso loves her grandchildren and will talk your ear off about it. I'm home before dark and will always leave the phone numbers of the doctor and a neighbor. I'd like to meet you first with Sibusiso present, and I'm happy to give a reference from my employer. If you have done care work before, wonderful, but kindness matters more. If this is something you could do, please write to me through the offer button.
