My family left Sudan 9 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Islamabad. We're a family of five and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in December. I was a nurse in Sudan, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent). Where the $505 goes: • Rent deposit and first month: $310 • Beds, table and basic furniture: $80 • Winter clothing and school supplies: $70 • Language classes and bus passes: $40 • Phone and internet for school and job search: $5 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
