Resettlement support for 8 people arriving in Cox's Bazar
Help a family of 5 start their new life in Cox's Bazar: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.
🇧🇩 Bangladesh1,065 views
My family left Ethiopia 9 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Cox's Bazar. We're a family of eight and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in November.
I was a pharmacist in Ethiopia, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $400 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $185
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $95
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $35
• Language classes and bus passes: $55
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $30
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

hope this works out for you. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Puja!
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rent deposit and first month comes first ($185) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
Keep going, Puja. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day
looking forward to the next update. Wish I lived closer to Santarém so I could bring a meal. Love from Mississauga.
