Resettlement support for 7 people arriving in Chattogram
After fleeing Sudan, the Yusuf family has arrived in Chattogram with little more than their documents. They need help with a deposit, furniture and the first months.

My family left Sudan 5 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Chattogram. We're a family of six and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in March.
I was a shopkeeper in Sudan, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $350 goes:
• Language classes and bus passes: $40
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $75
• Rent deposit and first month: $195
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $40
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Faruk.
Sure. The biggest one is language classes and bus passes, $40. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Appreciate you taking the time.
Wishing you the best. Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Narayanganj.
how is Faruk doing now?
hope things get better soon. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
rooting for you, Faruk. Hope this works out for you. Thinking of Chattogram
Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Greetings from Seoul
