Resettlement support for 4 people arriving in Corpus Christi
Help a family of 7 start their new life in Corpus Christi: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Iraq 8 months ago after we were targeted for our work. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Corpus Christi. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in December.
I was a shopkeeper in Iraq, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $4,600 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $2,450
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $980
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $620
• Language classes and bus passes: $380
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $170
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
