I'm Renu, 16, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study architecture.
I have a top-of-class average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until August. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Wishing you the best, Renu. I hope things turn around soon. God bless.
hope it all works out. Good luck with the exams, you've got this.
Shared it with a few friends. After 29 years in social work I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Thinking of Lalitpur!
Wishing you peace, Renu. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Greetings from Hồ Chí Minh City
Rooting for you, Renu. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings!
