Randall can't leave home - help build a ramp
Randall uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States1,272 views
Randall has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Randall can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Randall's family will cook lunch for the team.
Glad we found this place.
