I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a nursing degree at Nashik Community College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $750. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Nashik Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $750 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $420 • Textbooks and materials: $50 • Final term tuition: $280 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

  • You're not alone, Radhika. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
