Pro bono website for The Acacia Language Café - can you help?

The Acacia Language Café runs on volunteers and has no website; a designer or developer could help us reach more people.

The Acacia Language Café is a small animal rescue in Rockford that serves about 428 people each year. We've been running on word of mouth and social media, and we need a simple website with information, volunteer sign-up and a donate button. We have the content, logo and photos ready. We need someone who can design and build it, and show our volunteer how to update it. We'd estimate 15-25 hours of work. Ideally it should be fast on mobile, accessible, and use inexpensive hosting. We have a domain already. Please reply with a link to similar work. We can't pay, but we can offer a reference, a public thank-you, and a lot of thanks. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Thinking of you and your family. More neighborhoods should do this. Wish I lived closer to Nagpur so I could bring a meal.

    • Thinking of you, Skylar. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Rio de Janeiro.

      • Keep going, Skylar. Hope this works out for you. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.

        • Stay strong, Skylar. Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.

          • best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.

            • so sorry you're going through this, Skylar. I hope things turn around soon.
